The cardiac sciences department at TRINITY CENTRAL HOSPITAL consists of a group of Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons & Vascular-Endovascular Surgeons who diagnose & treat Congenital Heart Defects, Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease, Temporary-Permanent Pacemaker Insertions, Electrophysiology, Aneurysms, Acute & Chronic Vascular – Endovascular Diseases. Coronary Angiogram
Coronary Angiogram is a procedure that uses X-ray imaging to see heart’s blood vessels. The test is generally done to see if there are any blockages in the Coronary Vessels of heart.
Coronary Angioplasty
Coronary Angioplasty is a procedure used to treat narrowed coronary arteries (the main blood vessels supplying the heart). During the procedure your doctor uses a catheter (Thin flexible tube), balloon (to widen the blocked vessel) to place a small structure called a stent to open blood vessels to achieve normal blood flow around the heart that have been narrowed by plaque build-up, a condition known as atherosclerosis.
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting is a lifesaving surgical procedure used to treat coronary heart disease. It diverts blood around narrowed or clogged parts of the coronary arteries to improve blood flow & oxygen supply to the heart.
Valve Replacement Surgery
Valve Replacement Surgery is a major surgical procedure to replace a calcified heart valve that fails to open properly. In this procedure, surgeons insert a prosthetic valve to make your heart function normally.
